ARTICULATING EMOTIONS AND ENFORCING BOUNDARIES
Friday, August 21, 2020 6 – 9 pm
£30
Happy, Sad, Excited, Angry, Anxious, Afraid… all of these are emotions we all experience on a day to day basis but, knowing how to recognise them when they arise and learning how to sit with them as opposed to suppress them is a different kettle of fish all together and during lockdown having limited distractions and outlets has brought management of emotions into sharp relief.
Boundaries have also been stretched and tested by colleagues, kids and parents and partners. Reclaiming time, space; mental as well as physical, and being ok with saying no are all key components to our well being but they can make us feel selfish and guilty which aren’t great brain worms for anyone.
During this session we will:
- Discuss the range of emotions and how they impact on us physically and mentally
- Possible triggers
- Responses and Reactions
- Management tools.
- Talk about the value of boundaries, why we need them and what happens when they are compromised
- How to enforce them and,
- What to do when changes within us makes others uncomfortable and alters relationships.
SUPER CHARGE YOUR SELF ESTEEM:
Sunday 13th September
10am-1pm
£30
Do you find you regularly compare yourself to others, feel insecure and unsure of your decisions and direction? How about over committing, people pleasing and feeling fearful of trying new things in case you ‘fail’?
All of these are symptoms of low or impaired self-esteem which negatively impacts our ability to manage adversity and life’s disappointments and, if left unchecked can lead to anxiety and depression.
In short, it sucks but it can be resolved.
This session includes:
- Discussion on self-esteem- what it is, what it isn’t and why having a healthy level is so important for our mental health and wellbeing.
- Look at some of the causes of low self esteem and some of the ways we can nurture and develop a healthy level going forwards.
- Create a beautiful self esteem wheel to take home and use as part of your self care tool kit to help you develop a positive and compassionate relationship with yourself.
2020 VISION #2
Saturday 12th September 1-5pm
£40
September has always been a second ‘new year’ for me and this year the return to school, and the office for many, represents a significant milestone so it is an ideal time to look forwards, assess where you’re at and set some goals and intentions for the coming months. Vision boarding is a really powerful creative activity which leaves you with a tool, totally unique to you and your aims which will keep you focused and on track to achieve your goals whether they are personal, professional or a blend of both.
Whilst this year has taught us that many things are beyond our control, it is possible for us to choose how we will respond to situations and retain control over that which is within our power.
In this session we will:
- Get really clear on your goals whether they are personal, professional or a blend of both
- Set intentions to enable and empower you to achieve those goals
- Discuss affirmations and other tools that can help us make our visions a reality
- Create a beautiful vision board to take home to ensure you keep your goals at the forefront of your mind and achieve your aims.
CREATING CALM IN CHAOTIC TIMES.
November 29th 1-5pm
£40
The festive season is often one of the busiest and, ironically most stressful times of the year for many.
During this session we will talk about how to:
- Manage our commitments
- Maintain our boundaries and
- Protect our own wellbeing throughout the period.
We will also get creative making some gorgeous homemade gifts to aid calm for us and others.
This is a brilliant opportunity to ensure that you enjoy this special season and are aware of your own needs as well as your loved ones.
Winter Solstice Celebration
Sunday 20th December 12-5pm
£60
One of my favourite sessions of the year…
Join myself and Clare, Calm owner, for a gorgeous afternoon marking the Winter solstice. This is a perfect opportunity to mark the shortest day of the year, celebrate nature and enjoy some quiet reflection time in cosy clothes and candle light.
Escape the rat race for the afternoon and take some time out as a gift to you; to celebrate your achievements and let go of anything that no longer serves you.
We will talk about the light within us and how we can nurture that and keep it burning when our mood is low or we face challenging times.
We will enjoy some yoga nidra (sleep yoga) and share connection, conversation, meditation as well as some delicious food and drink.
You will leave feeling calm, nurtured and refreshed ready to face the festivities.
Sheer Bliss.
